people have been asking me
why aren't you posting your art work any more?
actually no body has asked me
it's just a device to start this entry
okay?
the major problem is that my drawing instructor
wants everything to be 18" x 24"
try fitting that into a scanner
and when i take photos
they come out all brown and strange
so i haven't got good pictures of the drawings
i entered two works in the indianapolis art center's student show
neither were accepted
one was my bunny print i posted earlier
i entered it because you can enter two works
for the entry fee
and i needed a second work
should have entered my barn

yeah
that's a wood cut print
anyway, the other work i entered
was a drawing of an african woman
i had more hopes for it getting in
but i am not good enough yet
i do have it framed
hanging on the wall in my stairway
so sometime i will take a picture of it
and post it here
classes have started up again
and i am working on new art
i did a picture of ben kingsley
that i don't like
but my instructor likes
right now i am working on a picture of my brother-in-law
with his cat
i have high hopes for that drawing
and in print making
i am doing my first relief wood cuts
both feature saxophone players
it will be a while before i post anything
since these are multiple colors
and the print has to dry between colors
so, later

most are for scanning lines of text
there's one that can scan 8" x 36"
but i would probably be better off
just scanning it in pieces in my regular scanner
and trying to splice it together
maybe
